Product Marketing Specialist
Overview
We are looking for a tech-savvy product marketer with excellent content writing, creative thinking, and marketing communication skills to support the growth of our Cyber Security SaaS product.
This role offers the opportunity to own and coordinate the creation of impactful product collateral, write customer-facing copy, and translate technical product capabilities into exciting value propositions that resonate with buyers across various mediums (digital, web, video, etc.).

Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research into cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and compliance requirements to understand the market landscape.
- Develop and refine buyer personas based on insights from IT security professionals, CISOs, and other stakeholders.
- Craft compelling value propositions and messaging that highlight Defense.com’s unique capabilities.
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis to identify market trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities, and leverage insights to inform product positioning and go-to-market plans.Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies tailored to the needs of target industries.
- Produce and manage specialised content such as white papers ,threat intelligence reports, security blogs and use cases.
- Play an active role in creating engaging video content by scripting and presenting product demonstrations and thought leadership pieces.
- Develop and maintain product guides and technical documentation to support user understanding and effective product use.
- Train internal and partner sales teams on Defense.com’s key features, providing them with competitive analysis and objection-handling techniques.
- Develop and optimise in-platform customer messaging to drive increased product usage and enhance user engagement.
- Build relationships with key customers to gather testimonials and case studies, promoting Defense.com’s impact.
- Engage with cybersecurity forums, online communities, and social media platforms to foster discussions around proactive security measures.
- Monitor and analyse product performance metrics, such as customer adoption rates and reductions in security incidents.
- Collaborate closely with product management to ensure features align with the latest cybersecurity threats and compliance standards.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels and support customer success initiatives.
- Any other appropriate job duties in line with the associated skill and experience of the post holder.
Skills and experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of product marketing experience in a SaaS environment, with expertise in content marketing.
- Knowledge of the cybersecurity or the IT market
- Demonstratable experience working with customer lifecycle management software
- Experience with tools such as Intercom and Zapier (or similar).
- Demonstrated understanding of how product marketing drives growth and product success.
- Ability to distil technical information accurately and present it clearly.
- Proven ability to generate and deliver targeted content throughout the customer journey.
- Strong copywriting and marketing skills across multiple channels, including web, email, and video.
- Experience in creating briefs and managing external suppliers to produce high-quality marketing collateral.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and multitasking skills with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in data analysis to extract meaningful customer insights and drive marketing strategies.
